ABOUT DIVYENDU ANAND
Growing up with thoughts of altruism, idealism, and beauty, Divyendu Anand pursued his passion for design at NIFT, Delhi, after high school. He began his professional journey as a product designer at Michael Aram, an award-winning, internationally renowned American artist dedicated to craft-based design.
His path as an artist unfolded from a profound realization: traditional design was limiting in its ability to convey the intricate depths of abstract emotions. This understanding ignited a deep urge to express something more profound and meaningful. It led him on a relentless pursuit of answers to existential questions about the meaning of life and the mysteries of existence. Over two decades, he diligently honed his artistic voice, drawing inspiration from personal experiences and philosophical contemplation.
The human mind is mysterious and abstract; something finite cannot quench its thirst. Consciously or unconsciously, it seeks something transcendental, beyond the world of the senses—this quest to know the unknown forms the foundation of his creative endeavour. To achieve this, he experiments with the science of aesthetics to bridge the finite and the infinite in the realm of idea and form.
His works are imbued with both exoteric and esoteric sensibilities, aiming to connect the ephemeral and the eternal. Driven by the insatiable curiosity of the human mind, his creative
journey seeks to bridge the finite and the infinite. Each piece invites an exploration of laughter, sorrow, confusion, heartbreak, fear, and bliss, creating visual poetry that resonates with the human soul. Through his art, he strives to expand perspectives and bring joy to others.
In 2017, Divyendu founded Studio Renaissance, a non-profit dedicated to cultivating a global tapestry of unity. Its mission is to harness the power of art to transcend borders and bridge divides. Studio Renaissance is not a business; it is a movement. It creates art not for personal gain, but as a catalyst for positive change. By providing a platform for artists worldwide, it fosters a shared human experience that transcends language, culture, and conflict.
