Reclining Buddha

The state of mind of Buddha is depicted as very blissful symbolised by the smile and expression on his face, while his physical body is depicted as merging with the infinite cosmic energies. The realised Buddha thus always remains in an blissful ecstatic state even as he rests, and identifies his physical being as an integral part of the elements in the cosmos.
